Default Problems with WiFi

Hi! I just got the BB curve 8320 with AT&T w/o a data package. I tried using the directions for setting up the WiFi but under manage connections I do not see an option for turning on WiFi. I was wondering if anyone knows how I can fix this problem since I know this phone has WiFi capability. Do you think it might just be an ATT thing? Thanks for the help!

Default BES Activation through Wi-Fi

Hi All,

Anyone can help me please?

I have BlackBerry Curve 8320 and I am not having data plan for BES , only I am having BIS.

For testing purpose I need to install BES 4.0 Server and want to activate the handheld through wireless router not through any ISP.

Is that possible to access my BES sever without ISP?

Thanks in advance!

First of all, post new question in a new thread. You are much more likely to attract an answer that way.

You can activate the device through USB without BES activation, but I couldn't get my Bold to talk to my BES server either via Wi-Fi or through my wireless carrier until I added BES support to my account.

Default BB without data plan via Wifi

I was reading this and related threads on the topic and I have to ask if having an unlocked BB would "free" this up or not. Thoughts?

Free what up?

Since "unlocking" only allows you to use a GSM based phone with any GSM provider, I can't see it changing anything to do with Wi-Fi. There seem to be some differences between providers, so if you actually changed carriers it my change Wi-Fi function.
