It's a spoof thread about the most common (unfounded or user caused) complaints on other BBs. The 8800 isn't out yet.

You're using the Bluetooth for that right? Because it won't work with the cable. I found that out the hard way. Can't tell you how many coasters I made because of it.

I got sick of waiting for Seidio and Fortte to make the perfect case for this, so I re-engineered my Fortee 8700 case with some extra padding and six extra sleeper magnets to ensure that not matter which way I put the thing in there, the 8800 will have the screen go to sleep immediately. I'm a do-er.
Once I get the design patented, I will share the designs so everyone can re-engineer their existing cases, too.
Also, I am in the process of modding the 8800 so that I can have red lights under the keypad so mine will look different, but I can't find the thread someone posted with the pic-by-pic instructions of how to take it apart. Well, I should be able to figure out what goes where. And if not, I'll just send it back to RIM because they should make these things so any fool can take them apart and tinker with them.

Hey, I have red lights underneath my keypad. You have to order parts from RIM, it's under the lights section. You have to scroll down and it's at the bottom left of the page where you can order. It takes 3-5 business days. Not too bad.

Looks similar to the M3/M5/MRoadster shifter at night.

But to install it, it didn't take that long, but you kinda have to be careful. There are 2 tabs on either side of the keypad that you have to squeeze open. After that it's kinda tricky, you have to lift the keypad that the keys are on and it's the 3rd light second from the left that you change. Makes a WOLRD of a difference.

Check out this thread for further pics.

Is there an OS upgrade that will allow me to type faster? BTW I don't have any arms and I need a 8800 holster that will fit around my head.

Thanks.

I started using Vista Ultimate but ended up going back to Mac OS X v10.5 (Leopard) dual booting with Kunbutu.

Hopefully it is good as usual with RIM. Isnt the 8800 battery larger in mAh than the 8700?
