Question "My Number: Unknown Number"

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All -

When pressing the green call button to view my call list, the list of called, received and missed calls appears. However, on top of that display it states: My Number: Unknown Number

Have I accidently skipped something during set up that my number doesn't appear in there? How can I change that? what's the background of having my number displayed on this window? am I losing out on a good functionality???

Thanks in advance.

Go to Options > Advanced > Sim Card.

Scroll over the Sim Phone number, click menu to "edit SIM Phone number" and put your phone number in there.

At Phone Dialer Screen > Options > General Options > Show My Number = YES.

I also have "My Number: Unknown Number" at the top of my call log.
When I go to "Options > Advanced Options > SIM Card",
I see:
Quote:
SIM Card: Security Disabled
ID: <a long string of digits>
Phone Number:
Unknown Number (@@@@@@@@@@@@@
So I shift cursor to the @@@'s line, menu-button > Edit SIM Phone Number
Then I get a error dialog:
Quote:
Uncaught exception: invalid initialValue
[OK-button]
My SIM Card is abt 2 months old, and it was previously used in a Nokia 6300. Oh and carrier is Starhub (Singapore).

I get the same "uncaught exception" error trying to edit the phone number on my wife's Curve.

Tried 2 more times with the battery pull - still gives that same error. UGH.

Interesting. I am using a AT&T SIM in my AT&T 8310, however with my normal TMo phone # forwarded to the AT&T device (I still have TMo forwarded to AT&T). Because I wanted my TMo to show on the screen, i edited the SIM card as described, voila! Done.
