Is there any way to set an alarm for all day entries. For example, I have an all day entry set up for a friend's birthday. I would like an alarm so that around 8 am, I am reminded to text or call my friend.

All day events created with a reminder in Outlook will sound an alarm at midnight.

No, there's no way to change it. Drives me nuts.

I set everything as an 8 am appt for daylong events.

All day events also get converted to 24-hour long events during sync, and then at DSL changes everything gets screwy, with appts running from 11 pm Thurs to 11 pm Friday.

Like I said, it drives me nuts.

I recommend setting timed appts to avoid all this.

I set mine to start and end at 8 a.m. Takes a couple of extra steps, but accomplishes what I want it to.
