Default Error: Reinstalled BES

Please Login to Remove!

Here's what I've got and I hope someone can help. I've searched til I'm blue in the face.

Windows 2008 SBS with Exchange 2007 64bit (obviously)
BES 5.0.2

It was working fine and then stopped. I reloaded it from scratch but the same problem exists. Once the install is finished properly, I go to open the Admin Manager and IE says:

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

No other error. It acts like the website isn't responding at all. The database checks come back ok so I think the back-end is working properly. I've browsed through a few sets of logs and everything in E:\Program Files (x86)\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Logs\20110217 is 0k. In the installer folder I see stuff like "MSI (s) (9C:28) [08:29:35:089]: Product: BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express for Microsoft Exchange -- Installation operation completed successfully." I don't see any errors to speak of. I do see one line that is interesting: "[10000] (02/17 12:34:57.896):{0x332C} [PIPTOOL]: Setup will exit as could not open E:\Program Files (x86)\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\SLA\SLA.ini, E:\Program Files (x86)\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\SLA\SLA.ini contains an invalid path." and the SLA folder doesn't exist so there is no SLA.ini file. Is this normal?

In one other file, I see: "[30000] (02/17 12:19:28.441):{0x3E4} <5>Feb 17 12:19:28 LAWSERVER {0xEA8} 1170: (#30000) [PIPTOOL]: Failed to clear user credentials.
[30000] (02/17 12:19:28.441):{0x3E4} <3>Feb 17 12:19:28 LAWSERVER {0xEA8} 1171: (#10000) [PIPTOOL]: Executing stop from CConsoleAddressesDlg.
[40000] (02/17 12:19:28.442):{0x3E4} LogReceiver: Code on closing = 10038"
I just don't see why the website isn't answering when everything says it completed properly and the database is online. Any ideas? I'll take a good guess at this point. Thanks!

I know alot, but have not seen your issue.

making fun of the ones that could help you wont get it solved faster.

Simple bump in the future is all that is needed.

If you go to your services:
Check to make sure that the admin service and the BAS-NCC are both started.
Bring up task manager and wait for the BAS-AS to climb to at least 350,000 kb.

Do you currently have any MR's installed?

Can you post BAS-AS log
that is log directly related to BAS_AS service
try to open BAS
when error out open BAS_AS log file and copy and past last 50-100 lines

I'm not making fun of anyone. I was asking a simple question. Posting when you have nothing of value to offer also won't get it solved any faster.

What is a MR? The BAS services are both started. I'll check that link for sure. Thanks for those that are being helpful. It's strange. The checks all come back properly but it's almost like the web server portion didn't install. The database is there and functioning (according to the tests) buit I just can't get the website to load.

Dude, you are an absolute genius! This worked perfectly. Apparently there was an overlapping port on the SQL server. Your doc fixed me right up! Thanks for being helpful. It was MUCH appreciated and I learned something today.

Do you have port 443 allowed through the firewall?

I do but I don't think it would have have mattered. I couldn't even get it to load the website behind the firewall. We use SQL for Backup Exec, Blackberry, Sharepoint, and several other instances. It's weird that it just started to flake out, though. The BES was working fine until one of the guys got a new phone. Then I noticed I couldn't get the website to even load. So I figured I'd just remove it and reinstall it (since I knew the permissions were correct and only one person used it...and he wasn't able to access it at all) but that didn't help, either. Always a load of fun figuring out stuff like this.

What is a MR?
MR = Maintenance Release. These are small updates for the BES that correct errors. Normally, there are several MRs inbetween the Service Packs.
