Default switching OS's

I was wondering how many are going to switch to your provider's OS when it becomes available for 4.5? No matter if your on a different 4.5 question still applies.

Nope. I will always use the latest.

Same here. I have found a very stable version, and I would not want to downgrade to the official Verizon release when it comes out.

Agreed. If what I have now does the trick, it's pointless.

I am just curious why RIM wouldn't try to keep everyone on the planet at one version when all betas are beta'ed out (meaning 4.5 is tweaked out the best its going to be)? Wouldn't it make support easier too?

Because it would be impossible to do.
Not everyone has the same model BlackBerry. Not all carriers offer the same features.
It would be far too impractical to create a single OS that suited every person, device and carrier.
Additionally, the software is never complete. There are always improvements, bug fixes, tweaks, etc.

Hmm I had the idea like it was a Microsoft OS like XP where one OS works in any PC the same could be in BB.
