24 hours of running 4.5.0.55 on my 8320
Please Login to Remove!
First off please don't ask me for the OS. I installed and updated my 8320 last night with OS 4.5.0.55, I was running OS 4.5.0.52. My observations are below.
1. Better Memory Management, after install I had over 24668950 free
2. Media Player bug is still present
3. Preloaded media is not included in this release
This is all I have noticed so far, will keep playing with device and report back

thanks for the update. On the 8310 the memory free is high but it leaks horribly.

Nice free memory amount! On .52 I was only able to get 20MB but I do still have MyFaves installed and a few AfterMarket apps.

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!
I don't have Myfaves, but do have Google Maps and Windows Live Search.... I was in shock too, there is still a small memory leak but not as bad as before. I haven't even optomized my berry to further free up more memory!!!
Battery life is a heck of alot better than .52 as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Deleted Myfaves and VAD. 4.5.0.55 has been very stable. 23.5MB free, which is a lot on the device (for me). Battery life IS excellent - in total agreement.
Especially compared to my iPhoney

As soon as the fiance goes to bed so I can have my phone off for an hour, I will be installing this. I'm very excited. .52 has been rock steady for me, (Albeit, with a little bit of a leak) but I'm looking forward to using my camera again.

I've noticed the same. More free memory than .52, but horrible leak.

Tried .46 and .52, but went back to .18 for the camera. Will probably put on .55 later today, after reading some more opinions. I use it mainly for the A2DP. What media player bug are you talking about?

I am wondering why there still is a memory leak issue at the point in the release. I would think this would be a major bug to address and fix.

I don't know if it exists in the .55 OS, but in the .52, if no one noticed, when you're on the phone with someone, if you press the call button again, it bring up a list of the contacts you can call or you can input a number to call someone.

Maybe it's the Jivetalk Running or Bluetooth running all day long, or it could just be the constant playing with it. But there is NO WAY i'd get two full days of battery. I'm lucky to get 12 hours before I need to throw it on the Laptop USB to help it out. Other than that and the small memory leak (Funny I'm at 23765777 after 20 hours) I'm in love with .55. Not noticing a decrease in ring tone volume. Unless Tmo officially releases it or some new fancy functions are added I will be happy until the Javelin releases. (Full QWERTY, drool) Anywho. My .02, YMMV.

Don't ask for it, but it sure is great - better than good, too bad we can't share though.
I guess my post is misleading. I do not have it. I was trying to tease those who do have it. When I get a copy, I will share.

There's a pretty decent memory leak in it. On a battery pull I have 28.5mb free. Right now I have 17mb free. Jivetalk, opera, and web browser are open and have been for about a day.

Good looking out. It sucks when folks who refuse to share when they, at some point, have probably asked for help locating a beta in the past.

No memory leak here on an 8100. Holding strong at 22MB+. Battery life is much better and the camera works again, hooray!
Had the issue with the Media Manager scanning indefinitely, but I formatted the card clean on my PC, then reinserted it and formatted it on the phone and it works perfectly now.
Absolutely nothing to complain about here. Will be keeping this OS for a long time.

Thanks. To be fair, some people are given betas to test and they are not allowed to share or they won't get them again in the future. I understand that. I just wish sometimes a pm would show up in our boxes with a copy - to share the wealth. If someone does get a beta through proper channels, wouldn't it be better if they didn't tell us about it than to have us drool and salivate over every word of how wonderful their experience is ? And those who do get a copy through not so proper channels, swear us to secrecy and let us in on it.
