Default I'm trying to wipe my pearl for a family member

Please Login to Remove!

So I can give it to them fresh. I've wiped it 3 times now... the first time checking the "include third party" box, the second time not checking, and the third time ENSURING I actually did check the box.

All 3 times, after it reloaded all my downloaded apps are still on the phone. What's the deal?

I'm running 4.3.0.127 (pearl 8130)

actually it seems like it deleted some and not others. It deleted things like Opera Mini, Google Sync... but it keeps leaving Google Talk, AIM, Facebook..

Unless those have become standardized in one of the new OS's I had downloaded, which I somehow doubt

How did you actually wipe it? I'm trying to wipe my Storm clean and can't figure out how??

Thank you.

To wipe:
Options > Security Options > General Settings > Menu Key > Wipe Handheld.

Those Apps are all RIM applications, that may be why they aren't deleting. I believe AppWorld doesn't delete either with a factory wipe. This is all speculation.

However, you can manually delete them by going into Options > Advanced Options > Applications, highlighting the app, press the menu key and select delete.

oh so if I've installed an app developed by RIM (even if it wasn't on my phone from the factory), it will stay even after a wipe? that makes sense
