You can set it from the Handheld. On my 8100G, it's in the INBOX>OPTIONS>GENERAL OPTIONS>HIDE SENT EMAIL>YES/NO. Set it to YES.

I also believe you can set that from the Desktop manager as well (if you are even using that)

- Highlight Sent Items and press the space bar to deselect (or click the trackwheel and select Change Option)
- Click the trackwheel and select Save

-or-

On the BES:
- Open BlackBerry Manager
- Double-click on the user's account
- Click on the Redirection tab
- Click on Selected Folders
- Click on the Choose Folders button
- Deselect Sent Items (and possibly select whatever needs to be selected, if its never been setup)

-or-

In Desktop Manager (on the user's machine):
- Open Desktop Manager
- Double-click on the Redirector icon
- Click on the Advanced tab
- Click on Selected Folders
- Click on the Choose Folders button
- Deselect Sent Items (and possibly select whatever needs to be selected, if its never been setup)

On OS 4.1, to hide/remove ALL sent items (handheld or Outlook):

On their handheld:
- Open Messages
- Click the trackwheel and select Options
- Open General Options
- Highlight the option for Hide Sent Messages (should be No)
- Press the space bar (or click on the trackwheel and select Change Option)
- Click the trackwheel and select Save
