Question ATT Family Data Plan?

Please Login to Remove!

The blackberry I use is my work one on our company's BES. My wife has her own personal blackberry which she uses via BIS and we use ATT, and pay for a monthly unlimited data plan. We have a second phone (non-blackberry) on our personal account that we let our son use from time to time. We are going to let him have a full time phone that will be his to use, and were considering updgrading the second phone to a blackberry for him. For phone usage my wife's blackberry and the second personal phone are linked under a family plan for minutes.

Does ATT have an unlimited "family data plan" for multiple blackberry's used on the same account?

No such thing as a shared data plan.

I have posed that question to at&t? The answer is no. Unlimited multimedia is as far as they go or anyone goes for that matter (SMS, MMS, and IM). I have that plan now with at&t 3 Blackberries and one phone. I no longer have data with ATT as a result of the map. I am in the area the guy can watch television through. "Is my map in the way?" "No, you fine!"

Ditto what everyone said. I found today that if you order a BlackBerry as an add-on through the Walmart Lets Talk store that you can get the BB 9700 for free -- no activation - and the monthly cost is $9.99 for the add-on plus the $30 for BB data.

I believe LetsTalk is also sending a $35 VISA Debit card now as part of their promotion -- and it apparently applies to add-on lines under family plans.

You do have to stay with ATT for 180 days or there's a $250 penalty that you pay Letstalk.

Still - this is one of the better deals as AT&T online wanted $199 plus I believe a $26 family activation fee...

Maybe check out Sprint if that's an option for you. I have 3 lines on a family data share plan, 1500 minutes (with free mobile-to-mobile for all lines). One BlackBerry, a Samsung Moment, and a basic Sanyo flip. Unlimited data and messaging (including SMS) for all. After my employer discount and a monthly credit I pay $92, including all fees and taxes.
