Pocket cell phone carrying FREAKS!!!
Please Login to Remove!
In the past, when I saw threads where people talked about carrying their phones in their pockets, my internal "freak" alarm would go off. I mean come on! Who carries a phone in their POCKET!?!?
YEESH! thats what we have holsters for!
Yeah, then I got an 8830.
Now, I carry my cell phone around in my shirt pocket. The only reason that I even realized that I crossed to the (then dark, now light) side was that today I am wearing a "pocketless" shirt and I am all weirded out! What do I do with my phone! Oh, yeah, holster. I still don't know what to do with my BT headset tho...
Its good to be a freak.
p.s. I will take any suggestions on how to carry my jawbone. I don't like to leave it in, and I don't have a shirt pocket (sometimes), so whats a boy to do?

Funny, I think the exact opposite. Pretty much categorically: holsters are one big nerd alert.
Who wants that shaz hanging off your belt, getting scraped off and pulling your pants down? Ruins the looks of a nice shirt and pair of slacks, not to mention jeans: "i'm casual, but I'm still committed to my work and thus, wear a HOLSTER."
Makes me think that there's a little "cowboy and indians/ secret service agent" fantasy play going on in some peoples heads. Except for there's a PHONE in the holster.
Not to rant, but you just reminded me.....

Unless I'm at work (in uniform, etc.) I only wear my belt holster if my shirt of jacket will cover it.

an untucked shirt covers a bb on a hip quite well. When I move over the curve it'll go into my pants pocket.

No offense to anyone here, but, IMHO, for the under-40 crowd, a visible blackberry holster screams: middle manager, receding hairline, knit ties and short sleeve dress shirts, and "look at me, look at me, I have a blackberry I'm important."
The shirt pocket is great, but I find that the phone falls out a lot.
The absolute best place for a blackberry is in the inside jacket pocket of your suit, sports jacket, overcoat, etc.

I don't wear a jacket, or an overcoat during the day ... where am I supposed to put it? I've got a collared shirt and pants ... hip + untucked is as best as I can get I'd think.

I'm a shirt pocket guy-I have a holster that I use to clip my 8320 to an outside pocket of my portfolio while Im at work. Truthfully, I haven't given much thought to whether anyone thinks that's geeky or not.

Mine is on my hip in my leather holster from Blackberry unless I'm at home and then it's on the table next to where I'm sitting or sleeping. I don't care how I look to other people, never have and never will.
