I am currently running v.4.2.0.69 on my black Pearl 8100...where can I go to download the latest version? I use this with a MacBook Pro...and the BIS service..Cingular/nowATT. I went to RIM's site, but couldn't locate it.

OR do I even need the latest version?

The reason I am asking..is all of a sudden, I have not been able to receive any emails from my personal accounts...and wondered if it's a software issue...or wondering if there is a problem with the system.

You can't do the upgrade with a mac. You need windows or a windows environment.

If you aren't experiencing any problems, no need to upgrade.

The issue I am having is that my email is not being pushed to the device regularly....the last message I had was from 10:20a this morning on the device...but have received numerous emails on my laptop since then. They are not coming through on the device.

Am wondering if there is a problem with the email push delivery system. Your thoughts?

Everyone is having problems today. There are a couple of threads on it. My GMail is quite slow being delivered.

Don't do anything to your OS.

Without upgrading from 4.1.0.284, is it possible to separate emails from sms'?

Nope. You can have a separate email folder for your BIS accounts but BES messages will always go to the Messages folder along with SMS/MMS/PIN/BIS email.
