Default Configure a Curve to show emails only under Inbox

Please Login to Remove!

I know how to navigate through different folders, but when I move an email into a sub-folder on my desktop Outlook, that means I don't want to see it for now, but on the BB device, although there is a copy in that sub-folder, it still shows on my main Messages list. The same thing happens to Junk E-mail folder. (Why would it sync and display mails under that folder if it's for junk !!??)

So I guess the default setting of the "Messages" application is showing all emails received into this account no matter which folder they are under. Is there a way to change it and make it show Inbox only ?

.

To hide messages that you've filed, you set that option under Messages -> Options -> General Settings. Set Hide Filed Messages to 'Yes'.

For the other folder, check what folders you have selected you have under Folder Redirection (Messages -> Options -> Email Settings -> Menu button -> Folder Redirection). Uncheck the folders you don't want to show in your Messages icon.

That's why we say you really need to filter spam before it hits the mail server. Though if you aren't redirecting mail in the Junk folder you shouldn't see it on the BB either.

We have, and actually we have two layers of spam scanner. But there is no perfect rules to block every single of them correctly without false negative or false positive detection.

Thanks, that does work well on one single device. I then tried to add that into IT Policy on our BES, but I browsed through the tree and look over 100+ options, it wasn't there. Is it not possible to do that?

Those settings are device only. No IT Policy settings for them.
