Hi fellas,

My first post !!

I got a new Blackberry pearl and this is my first smart phone. I am unable to transfer any media files form my Nokia 6600 to my BB with BT. I get an error saying "Unable to connect" on my 6600. Can u tell me what initial settings are required to configure BT and what could be the possible reasons for this problem.

I have been unable to transfer anything to my BB using BT. I hope it is possible to transfer mp3 and images to my BB using BT !! Plz help

You might be able to transfer images. mp3's maybe if they are small enough. Pair the two devices first. Then you need to go to the media app in the Pearl. Then go to the appropriate folder and select "Receive using Bluetooth." Then send from the other phone. You have to do that each time you want to receive a file.

Do you have a media card? If so, you may be able to receive the bigger ones to the media card. I know it won't work to phone memory.

i guess the internal phone memory is abt 65Mb. Cant I transfer an mp3 of abt 4mb...I do not have a memory card as of now !!

I think the max is 2.5mb per file for phone memory. You need a card for bigger files.

I can't seem to find the "Receive using bluetooth" folder in my 8700 I'm facing the same problem, with the transfer...

There is no direct BT transfer to/from the 8700. You can sync with Desktop Manager for your calendar, contacts, etc. That's it. Sorry
