Default Weird DST Sync - BB is OK

Please Login to Remove!

Here's a weird situation - my 7130c did fine with the DST conversion, all of my appointments made the transition perfectly. But, although my PC changed the correct time OK, my Outlook on the PC is listing all of my future recurring meetings one hour later.

I assumed I would then have a problem when I did my daily sync with Desktop Manager, but the sync when fine, so to speak, with my BB remaining correct, and my PC still "one hour later".

My Outlook on my PC is basically just a window to my Exchange account.

Any ideas?

It sounds like you have not run the necessary patches on the Exchange server, and the Microsoft "rebaser" program. This DST fix is extremely complex - there are levels upon levels of things that need to be done.
Is the time on your computer correct?

Sounds like you need to run Microsoft's Time Zone Data Updater tool - I don't recall the URL, but search on their site & you'll find it. Be careful when you run it, however. It may list some appointments that don't need to be updated. You'll have the opportunity to uncheck these and leave them as they are, then update the rest. My company's run this on ~ 100 systems and it works well as long as you follow the directions.

Good Luck & Ciao

That did the trick - thanks. My IT dept had sent me an email over a week ago that advised the same thing, I just missed it.

Thanks goodness I'm not too important - less than a dozen meetings a month.

Glad it worked for you. The person responsible for the patching on this end completely missed this until people starting reporting that their appointments were incorrect, but luckily we got everything in place last Friday...
