Default Aftermarket Calendar Software???

Please Login to Remove!

Newbie alert! Is there a calendar software program available for BB devices? For ex-pocket pc or palm users, I'm wondering if there is a product similar to Pocket Informant, Agenda Fusion or Datebook5. I'm guessing there isn't - haven't found anything so far. Is the BB platform not suitable for such a program?

Thanks in advance.

Why? Because there is no OS integration between Contacts and Calendar. A real fly in RIM's ointment.

Why? Because comparing the BlackBerry calendar with, say, DateBk5, is like comparing a wooden-spoke cartwheel with an OZ Racing alloy fitted with a Pirelli P Zero. You get what you pay for and the functionality and user-friendliness is improved to a vast degree.

I take it that the answer is no. That's too bad. For those of you that have used 3rd party PPC or Palm datebook software, you understand just how much more powerful a tool it is. I guess I can't get rid of my Dell Axim just yet. I was hoping the BB would replace it.

The closest integrated software I've found has been eWorks from eAccess eAccess-eStore - Your BlackBerry Accessories and BlackBerry Software SuperStore!

Give it a try.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.8 [en] (Windows NT 5.0; U) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Yeah. It would be nice to have the ability to link customers/employees or whatever to a appointment. Sure you can possibly do the invite thing, but it would be nice in general to have easy access to the persons contact info right in the appointment.

Plus of course the frustrating and helpful "wife's/kids" calendar additions.

DB5 had some real nice touches.

But then again, I am very happy being away from the Palm. 6 Palms later I was ready to go crazy. But that is another story.

Peace Out!

Don't bother with Pocket Day. It isn't much better than the canned calendar from RIM and nowhere near what Agenda Fusion or Datebook is. It certainly isn't worth the money.

I agree. I downloaded the trial, but it definitely isn't anything close to the Palm or PPC programs.

...give it a try if you don't mind long startup and very slow search times. It slows my Pearl down to a creapy crawl. Pocket Day is the only product out there right now.
