RIM
I have been involved with RIM since 2001 as a user and have had as many as 160 devices- but now down to 125. Fortunately I have a new VOIP hosted PBX, Videoconference systems in US, Asia, UK, and other responsibilities. Over the past year, I have been holding the fort with 9900, Torch, Storm 2, MR releases for my server and making sure everyone had the best app from the App Store. It is impossible it seems to stop people from going Apple or Android (and now soon Windows) and when external articles like this appear it will not get easier. We all have to do our job but whereas before it was a given that we would be upgrading devices, servers, software now I almost feel like I am dismantling what I had build. I do hope these new devices stem the bleeding but with articles like this it may have reached a point of no return. People perceive that I am supporting Apple, Android, etc but I know that once they are set up I can do little but have them reboot and maybe insure that their password in email has not changed(which is the biggest user downside with Activesync) What do you think- I am a little sad as it seems like the business media is piling on like RIM is OJ Simpson.
