Default Calendar Wireless Sync Stopped Working After Firmware Reload

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

I was having issues with my Bold and Rogers suggested I reload my Blackberry's firmware.

I upgraded to the latest release from Rogers, but now my Wireless Calendar synchronization has stopped working.

I activated my Blackberry by plugging into my PC and running a desktop activation, memos, tasks, and contacts have synchronized correctly.

However, my calendar stopped performing wireless synchronization - it seems my "Desktop" calendar is no longer available on my BB.

How do I re-enable calendar synchronization?

Do the following on the device.

Go into Calendar > Options > Desktop and set Wireless sync to No and save.
Go into Calendar > Options > Desktop and scroll to the bottom, type RSET (you will not see anything being typed). You will be prompted that your calendar will be wiped. Select Yes.
Go into Calendar > Options > Desktop and set Wireless sync to Yes and save. This will force the device to sync your desktop calendar.

Thanks big time, this worked for me. I needed to do it twice, the first time, not all the entries came across.

Weird - my Blackberry Desktop Calendar was not being pushed to my BB (in fact, I only had my Facebook/BIS/Blackberry Email calendars available); but I just reloaded the firmware for the 3rd time and ran a desktop activation again and this time my Desktop Calendar is available on the BB.

So I guess my issue is "resolved".
