First- I think this is an outstanding device. I seriously doubted when I read all the topics on internet, but for work people like me- outstanding. Get me skype on it and all is great.

I read on the Blackberry site the charger for the bb PB will charge a BB handset. So my question is it also the reverse? I see the voltage is the same but the Amps different. It would be great if true as one does not have to carry multiple chargers.

Quick other one - I have searched and can not figure out if there is a quick lock button or action - on my bb I set the left button for intant lock and this would be great

I doubt the reverse will work well, but if you only want to carry one charger, then carry the PlayBook one. It will charge a BlackBerry phone. As for a quick lock, I don't believe so.

I was told by RIM that:

- The PB charger will charge the PB and a BlackBerry (REALLY QUICKLY).
- The BlackBerry charger will trickle charge a PlayBook - it will work, but much more slowly.

You can use any Micro USB charger, it just wont charge it as fast as the factory PlayBook charger.



this is due to the supplied mili amps of the charger, more mili amps means faster charge.



Most devices limit the amount of mili amps and will not draw more regardless of the supply given.



The lithium batteries also have protection circuts to prevent over heating and over charging.
