Default Duplicate Setting in Profile

Please Login to Remove!

Here the problem:
Some of my folks now have two Messages[Desktop] entries for each of their Profile entries (Normal, Vibrate, Loud, etc). It's not happening for everybody, just a few so far. They have different devices, different OS, and different carriers so it's not a Carrier or device issue. I believe this is something that was pushed by the BES at some point yesterday. Log files are no help.

The new Messages[Desktop] entry also has different info from what was originally set by the end user. Screen shots included.

Already deleted Desktop[SYNC] service book and repushed to one of the users. No effect.

Any ideas as to what caused this?
Current fixes?
Measures for prevention in the future?
I really don't want to call T-Support for something that is a minor issue and not impacting server performance.

Thanks.

Oh, and YES I did search first. I found this: but it's no help either. LOL

Added. When I edited right after posting, they got stripped out.

I don't see any attachments either. Are there any duplicate desktop service books?

Also if you go into messages > options > email settings > menu key > folder redirection, are there any duplicate mailboxes?

Have you tried to reactivate a device to see if matters? Have you verified that they don't have BIS setup for that BB?

Didn't try a reactivation yet, but since this is impacting several folks I don't think its device related. Something is being pushed server side.

All are BES provisioned. C'mon man.... you know me better than that!

I was referring to whether the user setup another email in addition to the BES (or do you have that blocked by policy)

Some have GMail, RoadRunner, Hotmail, Yahoo while others don't. There's not pattern or common items.

I've got the same issue appearing on multiple devices. Any more thoughts or a resolution?

I just started seeing this same behavior, running BES only seeing it on 8130 and 8330, haven't confirmed 8830; not seeing it on 9530.

My guess is that the Profile settings for your few users in the wireless backup are somehow screwed. Did they recently switch devices? I imagine the break in the wireless restoral.
