Default Blackberry stucked on the first screen afetr a reboot

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I have a Curve 8900 with Bouygues (a french operator).
It worked perfectly so far, until an hour ago when I had the following issue:

- I use a Mac and Missing Sync. works fine.
- After a sync, Missing Sync asked me to relaunch the soft on the BB (because Missing Sync needs to be installed on both eth Mac and the BB)
- Then I proceed with a Hard Reset (SHIFT ALT DEL)
- The BB switched off, rebook, and is now Stuck on the Operator screen :(

I have tried to reboot again, removing the battery, but it does the samething again and again.

Needless to say that I am in a bad situation here, and will appreciate your kind help!

Many thanks,
Josué

Something like that happened to me and it turned out it was because of a 3rd party theme. What I did was held END to power off the phone and the power it back on with END and when if it comes on switch the theme back to a stock theme and then do a battery pull. That worked for me when it was stuck on my T-Mobile splash screen so maybe it will for you too.

Many 3rd party themes with the 8900 will cause that problem. I have read of two solutions to avoid it.

1. Make sure there are no unread emails.

or

2. Before any battery pull or reset, change to a stock theme. After the battery pull/reset, you change change back to the theme of your preference.
