Question cold hands!!

Please Login to Remove!

after reading the forums yes i do think a trackball would make the storm perfect because using my phone to make a simple phone call in the dead of winter requires me to take off my gloves. which is insanely hard to put back on if i'm wearing layers of clothes. is there any possible way to get my side convince keys to change into scroll options since the bb menu key can be used as enter?

Why not use the voice commands? The left button is already programmed and you can speak the names in your contact list or just the number. Should be able to do that with gloves on.

Glad I live in Florida, I never even though about this problem. A touch screen device when wearing gloves presents quite a problem.

Good luck with that one.

Its not an unreasonable situation. It very real, and i'm in agreement that it is a downside to this phone.

With my old phone, the SLVR, I could never hit any of the buttons with gloves on anyway (without hitting about 3 keys at once). I don't see much of a difference in this situation.

Sounds like Seidio needs to needs to sell winter gloves with little conductive nubs on the finger tips.

I have a pair of gloves where the top flips off the fingertips. Works perfect with the storm!

I have a pair of North Face gloves designed for touch screen in general. They have special tips on the thumbs and index fingers. And there warm too. Worth it.

Mine are all black. There called the North Face Etip Glove.

You've tested them with the Storm and they work? Nice. I'll have to pick up a pair.

i've read about gloves that still allow you to use your phone, but sadly i'm too in love with my leather gloves to let them go.

This is hilarious, but a very realy problem. I live in minnesota and work in an ice rink, i swear by flip top fingerless gloves, but am loving the neat ones made for touch screens!

Downside to the phone? Seriously? Its a touchscreen device. The whole purpose of the phone is to NOT have a trackball.

I love Phoenix! Just for reference, I went out in a t-shirt yesterday. The coldest it's been lately is ~60 degrees.

Anyway, I also thought it would be nice to use the (volume) rockers to navigate the menu selector up and down or at the very least scroll it. It seams like the rocker is under-utilized.

Maybe a touch screen device does not suit you...
