Default IT Policy stuck on received

Please Login to Remove!

I have 1 user that continues to show the IT policy as received but not applied. I tried resending but still doesn't change. In the admin it properties tab it shows the status as idle. Any way to fix this?

Try yanking the battery on this user's BlackBerry. Give it 15 seconds or so. I had a client with a similar problem and this corrected the issue. In my case, the user properties showed a policy recieved time 4 months old while the BlackBerry properties showed the a recent reception.

Well I thought yanking the battery would do the trick but still no change. I think all I've acheived so far is to make this user concerned that something is wrong with his berry.

Have you tried regenerating a new encryption key? This should definitely force the device to "pull" down all the latest services books as well as IT policies.

Tried regenerating the key, pulling the battery again. Still no difference. Still shows IT Policy last updated on 9/23/2005. This is probably when I added the user to the BES. I wonder if removing and adding back this user to the BES will help.

You may have to do a security wipe on the handheld in order to get the policy to apply correctly. Not the best way to get things done but it seems to be the only real way for the policy to be applied. This is at the recommendation of RIM. Check their support website and you will find the article. I had the same issues as you and once I did a security wipe of the users BBerry the policy worked. You can also check out the following article on Blackberry's website KB-04690

Thanks for the tip. I actually did this very thing a couple of days ago and that took care of the problem.
