How come blackberry didn't allow the ring tones to be as loud as they are in the media player?

They are sufficiently louder when played through the media player rather than when they are actually set as a ringtone

Maybe a 3rd party application could solve this?

as of now no 3rd party apps fix this, RIM says they are aware of this and plan to fix it with some kind of patch the only thing is when and how much louder will they make it.

I hope they make it louder than in the media player, cause that is the only complaint that I have about this phone is the ringtones are not loud at all.

Anyone know a timeframe for when the update may come out?

the bb uses a diffrent speaker for ringer then media player. which is why one is louder then the other.

The speakers are the same size, has to be a techincally application that needs to be applied.

I don't think they have a 3rd party app yet. I do know that there is supposed to be a patch for it. I have the 8830 WE and I'm having the same problem...missing calls all day heh. who is your service provider?

I have alltel as my service provider.

I am having ADP server issues as well. But its not that big of deal, just I wish it would work
