I've since upgraded to the 7130e. The JX10 works great with this unit, as well. The earhook problem has gotten worse; a quick call to Jabra and they put a couple of new ones in the mail to me. Apparently they had a bit of a design flaw on the early versions.

I have had my JX10 for 3 weeks and it works fine. I don't have any issues with the earhook but ordered extras from Jabra just to be safe. I also bought a Milante leather bt headset belt-clip case where I keep my JX10. Works perfect.

In response to rebb4u's comment about voice activiation - I certainly miss it, but find that I am a safer driver now that I only accept calls while driving and pull over if I have to initiate the call. Yes, I miss voice activation, and hope to see RIM include this in future models, but it does encourage one to be a safer driver while using a mobile phone. In the UK, they recently introduced laws to discourage drivers from using their mobiles while driving in an attempt to reduce accidents. Not sure if it will work, as I still saw plenty of drivers talking in the car when I was over there last summer.

You don't even need the earhook. I took mine out on day 2 and never looked back. The thing is so light I can shake my head around and it won't fall out.

The quality of course speaks for itself, I won't even bother commenting. This is the headset to buy right now, no doubt about it.

I just got my JX10 yesterday, and so far am very pleased with the unit. However, the desk charger has a problem.

Does anyone else have trouble getting the unit onto the charger? I don't just have trouble, I can't do it at all. It seems like the little USB-like port on the headset is just a tad bit too far forward to fit on the charger given where the unit sits. I don't want to push too much, and end up breaking the thing, but I'd love to hear other people's thoughts.

It would be a shame to lose the charging base since it looks so cool.

Yes, you definately have to hold your tongue right to get it into the charger.
I usually just pick up the charger and tilt it back so I can see that they both line up before I snap it in.

I use the Bluespoon AX soft spring which works perfectly with this unit. No hooks. Comfy.

I think that the Jabra JX10 is very cool, but too much expensive for a bluetooth headset!

Default Voice recognition w/ Pearl 8100 & Jabra JX10?

I purchased a Jabra JX10 BT headset a few days ago for use with my Blackberry Pearl / 8100. Although the JX10 claims to be "voice dialing compatible" and the voice recognition in my 8100 seems to work properly, I can not get BT voice recognition to work via the headset. Supposedly pressing the answer / end button (approx 1 second) when not in a call should activate voice dialing. When I do this, I only hear a brief beep from the JX10 (no response from the 8100).

Can anyone help me to get voice activated dialing to work with the headset / blackberry combination?
