Anyone have this in hand yet? I see that it is out on ebay. Haven't found it in stores yet.

Hey gadget, got your message earlier but I've switched BB's so my PIN changed. I actually got the 645 today but haven't had a chance to really play around with it yet. I'll have a good idea on whether or not I like it by tomorrow after using it for work.

A couple of first impressions...

The volume is noticeably lower than it was on my 640. I'm assuming it's because of the DSP but it's not low enough to make me not use the headset yet.

Last night I left myself a message while in my car witht he radio turned up to a volume I normally would never have it at while on the phone. The message was very clear and I could hear just a hint of the radio in the background. The radio was really loud though. Normally, I turn off the radio all together when I'm on the phone.

If it warms up here today, I'll try and do the same thing with the air conditioner running. That seemed to be people's biggest complaint with my 640.

No prob Spark. I ordered one off ebay as well last night. The 510 I have now gets a little heavy on my ear after awhile so I'm hoping this is the ticket.

Got the 645 this morning and charged it up and tested it around the house and in the car. Even left myself a message on my office phone while in the car and it all sounded great. No problems whatsoever. No static or crackling as others have reported on other forums. This thing is so light compared to the 510. So far so good. I'll post if anything changes.

It also includes a charger option for the mini-usb. I just wish they would have improved the connection between the wireless device and the charger. It's still quirky. Otherwise I experienced the same results as the others. Great product, barttery life seems OK.

So the USB adapter comes with the 645? With the 640, it is an accessory that has to be purchased separately.

Default Discovery 645 Small review

I previously owned the Discovery 640 and received my upgrade to the 645 last night. I charged the 645 overnight and did a little testing this morning. The audio quality and volume in my ear is great. To me it is the same as the 640. The audio quality on the other end of the call is much better than the 640. I called my office and left a recording and the audio quality on the 645 is much better than my 640. my 640 sounded tinny and way too much background noise. I tested the 645 with the radio on in the background and with the volume turned up you definitely heard the radio in the background. However, my voice was loud and clear. Road noise was no issue.

Hope this was helpful and I will post more if I think of anything else.

My 645 doesn't seem to answer calls as fast as my 640 did. Has anyone else noticed that? When I answer a call, it takes a couple extra seconds before I hear the caller in my headset.

The same thing with my 645. It takes a couple extra seconds to answer the call. It is a little annoying but I guess I can used to it. I have not tried it yet with the DSP deactivated but I don't think it will make a difference.

I understand that talk time drops from 5 to 3 hours using the DSP.
