Anyone heard when Motorola is going to release the long awaited H5 Miniblue headset? Looks very cool, I hope it will have adequate volume, a typical problem of Motorola headsets.

I, too, am waiting for the H5. The battery life is said to be short, but it looks really cool

Have a couple of them laying around, they are extremely uncomfortable and sound quality is not good, there is no mic is uses the vibrations in your cheek to send the sound to the other party, also it makes you feel like you are at 30,000 ft and landing in an airplane and u need gum, only cool thing is the charging pod, you charge the headset in the pod, then bring the pod with you say in the car and then put headset in pod with no charger and it charges

Yes, I think the whole concept of this headset is really cool but I have heard that it doesn't work too well. Also, I have seen two different types of the charging base. One looks like it's chrome and the other looks like a more basic style and is a black plastic. Which type do you have BoyGenius?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/125)

They are chrome and like a dark grey rubber. Battery life is actually good but the whole thing still freaks me out. A client of mine loves his and says he can even hear bass on his so I guess to each his own but I don't use it at all

boygenius,

Are these out yet, or are you a beta test or rep?

Thanks.

They are not commercially available yet, they were supposed to be launched by now, not completely sure on the timeframe but 3-4 weeks sounds right.

Didn't want to get anyone in trouble, just wondering if there were available yet and where he purchased it. I can't find them yet.

Thanks!

Not sure how boygenius was able to get his but I don't believe they have been released for public sale yet, should be any time now though.
I'll admit I'm very interested in this headset but I'm going to wait until the consumer reviews start coming in to make my decision.
I have a feeling there's gonna be issues with it.

I think it will be soon. I have noticed lately that there are two different charging bases pictured with the headset. The first was the chrome looking one with the locking lid, but I have also seen a black plastic looking one also.
Do we have a choice or have they switched to the cheap black plastic one?
