I have read marks tutorials and cant find the answer. I have nextel and the 7520. How do i find what the APN is? Thank you for your help

I found this in Mark's Blackberry Glossary:

APN
"This is an acronym for Access Point Name. This is used for the TCP/IP stack. This is a kind of a gateway between the mobile network and the Internet network. To gain access to always-on Internet from a mobile phone, such as instant messaging, it goes through an APN. Some mobile phones, such as BlackBerry uses multiple APN's. The main APN is blackberry.net for the BlackBerry emails, but there are other APN's that are carrier-specific for getting Internet access such as Verichat, etc."

I have a 7520 in Mexico City. My third party IM's don't work and it looks like I need to edit the APN but I can't find it anywhere. I've called BB support and no luck. Does anyone know how to configure this? Thx!

From Mark's FAQ:

Nextel/Telus - iDEN - Has TCP/IP
No APN/TCP settings required on iDEN units including 65XX, 75XX and 7100i. They are special because they are iDEN and more native TCP/IP. After a new BlackBerry activation, you may need to wait 2 business days before third party Internet software such as VeriChat works. In the past, it was necessary to call Nextel to order the static IP address option (about $4/month), but now a static IP address appears to be included with BlackBerries by default.
