Default Moving mailboxes between stores

Please Login to Remove!

If you move a mailbox from one store to another (within the same Administrative Group) would you have to delete/add the user in BES, or will it know the user is using a new mailbox?

Thanks.

If you are moving mailboxes across information stores, reboot the bes firstly. Then I'd go into the c:\program files\research in motion\blackberry enterprise server\utility\ directory in a DOS window and run 'handheldcleanup -u' about three times. Restart all the BES services and you should be fine.

i've never had an issue moving the user from one store to another, so long as the proper Exchange permissions exist on the other store for the service account. it picks up the change fairly quickly (i moved myself less than 2 days ago from one server to another).

do I have to click the reload user option for it to start receiving the messages or its just a simple case of moving the mailbox and nothing else.

Move Mailbox
Run handheldcleanup -u
The BES will lookup the users mailbox DN when it doesn't find them where it expects if you do not run handheldcleanup -u, it can cause delays until it performs this however.

If you are moving mailboxes outside of the same storage group you will have no problems provided as jibi mentioned, permissions are correct (and assuming your MAPI subsystem is at the required level as well).
