I had the same problem downloading the Viigo upgrade. The Viigo support folks advised me to go directly to their site to do the download, which I did with no issues. The "Starting Download" status doesn't seem to be impacting my battery or memory resources.

I've got one doing the same thing. Reinstalling App World didn't help, but since it just seems to be a cosmetic annoyance I hadn't done more with it. Would be interested in a resolution though.

Details:

1. Open App World

2. Go to My World

3a. For keyboard-based BB's -- Hold down the ALT key and press "RST"

3b. For Storm -- Hold the num-lock ("!?123") button so it locks and then hit "34("

4. If your BB locks after issuing the cache clear, perform a battery pull reboot

Didn't work when I went into My World. It did work though when I was on the feature screen in App world. Thanks!

Also worked for me, in the My World screen - thanks. Interesting little operation, wish there was GUI for it.

Do the phone response with a command after you push Alt RST?
