Zoinks!! is that the Plantronics Discovery 640? If so, I've been dying to hear how it works wih the 8700. I'm thinking of buying one on Monday and your thoughts would be helpful.

Why yes it is. I've had it for a few weeks and have really liked it with the 7100g. It's loud, almost too loud, comfortable for glasses-wearers and the quality/reception is the best I've experienced (BT800, Scala 500, HS850, "Flamingo-the-ear-dingus"). It is working fine with the 8700 so far, but I've only had the phone for a few hours

I'll post something once I've put it through it's rounds

Best I've seen on the nano is 10 hours which is plenty for me. The 60gb vPOD is much worse.

I am using the Plantronics Discovery 640 with the 7100G and I love it, although it is limited by the 7100G. The 7100G is only 1.1 BT, and the Plantronics is 1.2, so I am looking forwards to pairing it with the 8700. Should be better noise control and battery life....

I purchased the Plantronics 640 with my Razr and it worked great. the quality of sound i recieved was great and loud and everyone said I sounded great. However, when I started using it with my new BB 8700c everyone complained about the background noise and said I sounded like i was in a tin can. the other people sounded loud and clear. I tried adjusting the echo on the 8700 but made no difference.

This has been my experience with the 640 on the 8700.

I have a black rogers 8700r.. I wonder what it would look like with a silver battery door. Might be interesting. lol

I personally prefer the silver over the black. We should set up a case swap forum. haha
