Default Keyboard & Trackpad on Blackberry Curve 8320 not Lighting up, please help??

Please Login to Remove!

The keypad on my Blackberry Curve 8320 from T-Mobile is not lighting up, I have no warranty, so thats not a option, what are some Software things I can try? I am no good at all and don't wanna try taking it apart...

Also my Blackberry is unlocked and I use it on AT&T I try to sign into Yahoo or any instant messengers, and it says Serice is not enabled for this handheld ? What can I do to fix this? I am a AT&T GoPhone Customer, I can't afford a deposit for a Post Paid account...

Thank you.

Keyboard: have you tried a battery pull? Also, have you changed any settings recently? Might want to take a look at what you have under Options>Screen/keyboard

IM: what OS are you running on your device (to check press ALT+CAPS+H)? I have heard that devices running older OS like 4.2 might not support some of the IM programs. If you are already running OS4.5 the issue might be due to the fact that you don't have a data plan.

I've tried several battery pulls, and nothing in the settings has been changed or is wrong to make it do this...

As far as Instant Messaging, I guess I gotta get a Data plan...But I am on AT&T GoPhone, If I buy the 100MBs data plan, would I be able to sign into Instant Messaging then? My OS is the newest I believe, 4.5.0.182 ...

Sorry not too well versed with AT&T plans. Have you checked with your carrier though? I'd imagine this might be something they could answer.
