Now that we are all excited that the new Storm will be released soon and we can assume the cost will be, say, 'up there' (at least I expect it to be), I was wondering if anybody knew the charger specifications. Can we use the travel, desktop and car charger we already have from previous Blackberry phones, specifically the Pearl, to be used on this new Storm or will we all have to re-purchase these accessories? Can anyone shine a little light on this or direct me to the answers???

The Storm uses Micro USB chargers. The Pearl, and most other previous Blackberrys use Mini USB. So no, your current chargers will not work. It sucks, but what do you do?

There are adapters that you can use to prevent you from having to buy all new accessories. Check the Javelin thread...some people there have bought them and say they work fine.

I bought a handful of the mini USB to micro USB adapters and they work great.
$5 at the T-Mobile store.

Thanks to everyone for the quick reply! The adapter sounds like a easy fix for the car charger and travel. Off to eBay I go....
