Page 22 clearly states the GPS in UNLOCKED!!!! YAY!!!!

It says VZ Navigator is better because it is aGPS, but I will take GPS alone to save $10.

It does seem to say you can use BB Maps for GPS (installed) without voice turn by turn and without the assist feature that VZ Nav. gives you in buildings, etc. It doesn't really address pricing however. One can at least hope GPs is free but Verizon may have other ideas.
