The one question I do have is what exactly are 'memory leaks'. How does one know this is an issue? I'm just not very well versed with that problem.

i had 176 running with vznav, my common problems were,
os free ram drops to 10-5 megs after 2 days,
the 1evdo network became 1x randomly
battery drain in about 4 hrs (didnt notice if it was due to 1x and not being in 1evdo or vznav which is also bugged)
vz nav bugs
only real problem with vz nav is it dont exit clean, so sometimes it dont exit, and its not running but locks its call to gps, which gives error 15 i think no gps, only fix to that is soft reset.
overall the os is the worst, it has alot to do with the firmware remapping memory for all phone/gps functions.
