My phone stopped to type the letter "i" - it is not a keyboard problem - it types "i" but without the dot, and the character is then not recognized in contacts etc.
When I type upper case "I", it works.

I do not think it is a keypad issue, as it is the same for the physical as touch screen buttons.

Could be that you selected turkish language? In turkish the key i makes something like a capital I.

I know it sounds silly but I got a user with that problem once.

Excellent!!!!!! This was exactly what was wrong - must have selected Turkish by mistake somehow - deselected it now and working 100%
