Wirelessly posted (8700g)

What about using your blackberry as a modem (tethering) for your pc/laptop? See blackberryfaq.com.

tethering would give you internet access on your home computer. you could also download them at the library for isntance, and use your device as a thumb drive/jump drive/usb drive to get it back to your home computer

You will not be able to download the files directly to memory or the media card with the blackberry. Sith's point is you could download using another computer which does have internet service (such as a library computer), and use your blackberry as the storage media to transfer to your computer.

Download the operating system (may be called handheld software) files from your carrier or another. You can download from any carrier provided the software is for your model blackberry.

U have 2 load this 2 a comp.
U cant load this 2 ur BB.
U cant load this 2 ur sd card

The only way to upgrade a BlackBerry is to load it from your PC, using the included Desktop Manager program.

Does someone else have a PC with Internet access that you can use to download it, then move the update program to your computer?
