Default BWC Mailbox Size

Is it possible to get a large mailbox for my Blackberry Web Client? 10 megs just isn't enough! I'm constanly filling it up (I get large attachements sent to me on a regulary basis) and I hate having to delete most of the emails just so that it will keep flowing!!

This depends to some extent on who set you up and who your carrier is. I had a VAR sell me 5 BB7230's with T-Mobile. One of the conditions on the sale was that we get 50MB per user of BWC space. It took a few weeks to get it set-up, but it has been in place for around a year now.

So, my guess it that at least on T-Mobile you should be able to get customer service to do this for you -- as least if you badger them enough

I do know that some carriers (1010 in Hong Kong, for example) offer larger BWC accounts at a slightly higher cost.

Good luck!

Indeed, just call T-mobile and after being on hold for 30 minutes and explaining what you want to 4 people you'll find the person that can make this change (I think it's a RIM employee in India).

Make sure that when you call you just mention "a technical problem with the Blackberry" to the first line of support...

That is very good advice -- "a technical Blackberry issue" will get you to the correct starting point. FWIW, I was *SPANKED* by another forum member when I made the comment about RIM customer service being somewhere in India -- I was informed, in no unsure terms, thar RIM customer service is in Canada. I checked in my atlas, and found out that Canada is in fact nowhere near India. Shame on me :D

So, I will correct the reference for both of us here -- it will put you through to a very pleasant and very knowledgeable Indian employee stationed somewhere in the jungles of Canada. Canada has jungles, no? :D

RIM Campus (10 buildings) is located in Waterloo, Ontario on the corner of Phillip St and Columbia St.

You have to remember, when calling T-Mobile, you DO NOT speak to a RIM employee until you have been transferred at least 3 times. If a rep picks up the phone and says a REP ID, they do not work for RIM, they work for T-Mobile. T-Mobile is the worst carrier for tech support and for transfering the dumbest stuff to RIM. Also, T-Mobile's Wireless Data Group is located in Toronto, ON. They just hire tons of middle eastern people.

Remember, REP ID = Not RIM employee.
