Default 8330 Going Bye Bye

Please Login to Remove!

I have had it, I am headed back to my Treo. I have my BB 8330 defaulting back to device memory for storing my pictures, without any help from me. Here is everything I did:

1) I set in the camera options to the media card as to where I wanted the pictures to be stored.

2) The next suggestion was to remove the battery and I did.

3) Something I didn't do was format the card and so I did that.

I am out of ideas, and I am very upset that every time I shoot a picture I have to check options to make sure that it is set on media card and not device.

Wirelessly posted

Maybe you need to return it for another BB? Is that option available for you?

I would love to get another one, but I am afraid. I have insurance, but the insurance company that Verizon uses gives you a 50/50 chance of getting a new or a refurbish unit. I honestly and simply don't want anymore headaches.

Something must be wrong because I use the camera on my Berry all the time and the pics always always always go to the memory card. Never had an issue. In fact, I don't think I had to tell it to initially. I think as soon as I put the card in, it just changed it by itself.

I wouldn't give up my 8330 for anything except a proven better Berry. It is by far the best one I have ever used.

Great suggestion for which I forgot to add that I did do that, but you did spark an another thought, what if the card was bad?

Could a wipe and reload of the OS be in order? Sounds like a quirk. I have an 8330 and have never had a problem. I have swapped cards (work card vs. personal card) without issue.

I've had Treos before and I would take a non-functioning BlackBerry that couldn't receive calls OR emails over a "fully functional" Treo any day. That's how bad my Treo experience was....
