Last week we installed the Latest BESE on out SBS 2011 server.

We setup a new user BESadmin and installed it while logged into server as that user.

All BB services start under the new besadmin and the MAPI profile uses Besadmin.

We donwloaded and installed Messaging API and collaboration DATA objects 1.2.1 v 6.5.8244.0

One thing we have noticed is that the BB Administartion Website only lets us log in as the Server Admin not BESadmin ?

But if we go ahead and login as the Server Admin we can then add a user and request an avtivation password.

An email then drops into that users mailbox with the password which we then try to activate on the phone and email then drops into the users mailbox but the the phone just says activating and the email stays in the inbox (I have read that this email should dissapear)

I can only think it may be a permissions setting

I have run the iemstest again one of the BB users that I added into the BB Admin website and below is a selection of the errors

IDispatch error #1285

EWS calendar find request... failed

Did you install CDO and BES while logged in as BESAdmin?

No i installed BES as BESadmin but I think i installed the cdo as the server admin.

Just to let you know I sorted this myself.

It was to do with the permissions of the Besadmin user.
