Default random reboots

Please Login to Remove!

I have a month old 8900 curve on ATT. I use BB desktop to sync with my mac.
I really do like the device except for 1 thing, it randomly reboots and I am starting to get pissed off. I recently did an OS upgrade when I was prompted by the DM. It was rebooting with the old OS and it seems to be no better with the new one. So what should I do? Is there a tech support number at RIM? I am really not interested in talking to ATT.
Thanks
Ralph

What OS did you update too?
What third party apps do you have installed?
How long is the battery lasting on average?
How do you generally use your phone?

P.S.Trust me At&t will get you no where. =]

the OS I have is 4.6.1.315, I updated thru DM for mac. I don't now what I had before the update.
I have facebook and weather channel installed.
I get 2 full days on the battery.
I use it for e-mail (BIS), text and voice.

I am not a power user just a regular guy

Odd, what are you doing when it generally reboots?
I'd try wiping/reinstalling all third party apps, not sure if that will help. But if you updated your OS, i'm going to assume it's either the battery or a third party app running into some sort of issue.
Could be wrong.

once it rebooted while using facebook, the other times were doing normal e-mail or looking at the calendar.
I will give it a try, very disappointed, my 7290 was bomb proof

Yeah I had some problems with my 8300, but my 8900 hasn't failed me yet.
Tell me if that works, I know it's a pain to do.

Good to hear that. Might have been an internal bug or one of those third party apps, which is doubtful.
