Their 8525's battery drains from full to nothing using minimal settings in under a day.
Battery life is one of the last items to be tweaked.

This is disappointing. I talked to our IMS rep and also to an AT&T rep that was at our office for a Benefit's Fair today and they both told me, in separate conversations, that it looked more like September for the Bold availability than June/July. Bummer.

RIMM stock is being hammered in after hour trading today. I wonder if they announced anything in their earnings report about the Bold delay.

You are funny. Market closed with RIMM up almost 2 more dollars. Anyone who thinks RIMM's stock got hammered does not know what he is talking about. I purchased most of mine at $25-30 a share and it is at $142+ today. Just purchased an additional 160 shares at $132 just a month a go and at $142, I do not feel "hammered!

LOL!

Um, its down $12 a share in after hours trading since they had their earnings call. You might want to look into these things before you post. Take a look for yourself.

I know I will get beat bloody for this but I agree. I will probably move from the pearl to the iphone. Just don't want to wait that long.

I was going to skip initial release of iPhone 3G and get Bold first THEN iPhone 3G. That way, I will already have the Bold. Now my plan is to get iPhone 3G first. And if I love it and its 3rd party apps and exchange support, I may not even get the Bold and just say screw BB all together.

-17 now and yes, Fidelity has my order! This will be a bonus for sure.

RIMM has also doubled it earnings in the last quarter, how many companies have done that?

I will play as my money does not make anything in the bank

Really? Don't mean sound offensive, but would be TO ME a dumb move! The iPhone is a baby and the Blackberry is grown person when it comes to apps! Plus when it comes to multitasking apps and other advantages of the Blackberry, the iPhone is just lacking. But again, NO offense intended, just saying.....

I think the Bold looks great, but the iPhone will blow it away when it comes to 3rd party apps. Have you seen some of the apps coming out for the iPhone? Some of them look incredible and can never be done on the blackberry. The iPhone SDK is far more advanced then what is available to Blackberry developers.

Is this in response to my comment about 3rd party app development?

Face it, the Bold and iPhone are two of the most anticipated phones coming out this year. There are many people trying to decide which one to get. Every feature of one will most likely be compared to the other. Its just the way it is.

I honestly dont see *that* much of a difference between the two iPhones. GPS and 3G and thats about it. Wont the first one get the 2.0 software?
