Default WiFi problems with new curve 9360

Please Login to Remove!

Hello! Today I got myself BB curve 9360 and I am having trouble understanding when my BB uses WiFi and when not. I do not get the BB logo next to any of my connections (wifi or network), there is only an arrow flickering sometimes. The WiFi icon is white and changes depending on the strength of the WiFi, but when I check the settings, it shows that WiFi is `not connected`. I have read through the guides and all, but still having trouble. Can someone explain to me, what I am supposed to do in order to understand? I really do not want to pay for all the 3G.. Thanks in advance!

First question is do you have a blackberry data plan? a lot of carriers block data including WIFI without the proper plan.
Can you do email?
Can you use the browser?
if the answer is no your on a standard cell plan that may include texting and calling only.

If you can do email and browser then it may be a setting.
