An 8100 is an 8100 is an 8100. They are identical.
Choose the carrier, then choose the BlackBerry.

Doesn't that depend on the color?

Actually, T-mobile is better...AT&T disables your blackberry maps. And the method to get it back that's on this forum doesn't even work for me...

Plus T-mobile's data plan is cheaper. $20 a month vs. $30 a month.

It's ALL about the coverage.

...domestic AND international. If you travel, be sure to compare int'l roaming rates - there is a difference between carriers.

Hmmm...that's interesting. I've been using AT&T but haven't tried the map function yet

Haven't hit too many snags with reception, either, but it doesn't it depend on where you live (some companies have more "towers" in certain areas, etc)?

Choose by carrier first, and both have updated pearls (8110-8120) now, but as been mentioned. Choose carrier first then device. A blackberry is awesome, but if it doesn't work then what good is it? I used to have a 8100 on T-mobile for work, then was switched to a iPhone on AT&T and even though AT&T has better coverage, it dropped more calls then when I was on T-mobile...Go figure!
