Thinking of trying it because I like the 4.6 OS. Just something to hold m over until the 8900 comes out.

If you have Verizon as your info under your name shows you won't be able to to use the flip even if it is unlocked. The Flip is a GSM device, not compatable with Verizon.

I'm starting to think that, after a week, this is why I like it too.

I love it as well. I was using a Bold before...of course 3G is faster but I love the size of the flip. My friend is buying my Bold from me.

I came from a pearl 8100 which I've replaced twice due to how I knock phones around. I really wanted to go the storm to get way from trackballs and keypads but after reading so many issues with it I chose the flip as I wanted something that had protection for the trackball and keypad.

The flip is great. However I think the software update is mandatory as the original OS was laggy and I had speaker "pops" every time I moved the trackball.I think this may have been from a restore from the 8100 as I read someone else had the same issues on crackberry. Even so the new os is very quick and the phone keyboard is great - better than the pearl. The browser is slow even on wifi so I'm trying opera mini

I like it. I have no OS lag since the update and I like the battery life. 36 hours and 8 in a dead zone.

So far my dad loves his BlackBerry flip. Following the software update, everything seemed to run a little smoother. Its a great phone by all means.

Default Thumbs Up

Having used and/or tested every current Blackberry device in the market, the Flip was/is suprisingly great. The device is small, keyboard is much larger than the 8100 series and screen is very nice. After using it for more than a week, it is a very nice phone. Before I starting using it, I performed the OS upgrade. It went flawlessly as well.

I started with an 8300 and still like the curves because I believe they have better battery life and the reception is one of the best ice had on a phone.

Been using the flip for 3 weeks now and now that I'm used to the SureType, I'm loving this phone. I'm starting to wonde if the full keyboard is even faster.

Bold is beautiful, but just way to big. Considering the price, I think the flip is great!

The Flip is one of my two favorites right now. The Bold is my favorite. I got a ridiculous offer on the Flip from someone who felt the same way, so I gave it up, but I am certain that I will buy another one very soon. I did not do the update to mine, and maybe if I had done it I would have been more hesitant to sell, but I had barely been using it since getting the 9000.

Favorite feature: The Clock when it is in the cradle.

Why didn't they make it open the other way so that it could have a full keyboard? That would be the perfect BlackBerry!!

I truly like this phone. I came from a bb 8800 to the the Flip. I simply thought I would give it a try and I was surprised at how much I like it. I prefer the double tap which seems easier for me. I like the size, the screen, the overall feel of phone. I like that I can do all I need with one thumb. It is lite weight sits well in my hand. It also fits my face very well when open and speaking on the phone. While would like the screen to be a little larger, I genuinely like the phone very much.
