Default Which BlueTooth Headset for people with glasses?

Please Login to Remove!

Funny question, isn't it?
But this has always been my problem.
Motorbike Helmets, Sunglasses for skiing and Headsets.
What is the best HeadSet (BlueTooth) for someone wearings glasses?
I tried one of a friend of mine, and it was not comfortable at all.
Does anyone have any experience with that?

And another questions:
How would you see BlueTooth radiation compared to what you get over a normal cable headset from a health point of view?

Thanks
Michael

i wear glasses ... i personally use the plantronics m3000 ... it is a little awkward at first, but u literally need to practise putting it on quickly -- as if you are practising unholstering a pistol heh heh. works great with bb bluetooth, and sound quality is decent.

I use the Motorola HS810 and I have no problems with it; I only use reading and sunglasses, but it fits nicely.

The Motorola HS850 is the best I have used/seen yet. It activates the BT when you open the boom on the device, and it works great with glasses. It comes with the standard Motorola charger, so if you have other Motorola devices, it saves you a charger. Too bad they aren't as forward thinking as RIM and make it charge off of the USB cable...

I agree, I have the HS850, and also own an HS820 and BT250. The HS850 is the best and most comfortable of all of them!

Actually maybe you can do that....

The new Motorola Razr V3 phone uses a mini-USB cable to charge. So if you go to Motorola's website and look under V3 accessories, they have an adapter/spliter cable you can buy for $10 which splits a mini-USB so that one side is still a mini-USB and the other side is the standard Motorola charger plug. The only thing they warn in the instructions is not to use this adapter if you are charging from a PC USB port -- they suggest only using it if you are using a regular charger plugged into an electrical outlet. You may want to try it and see if it works.

USB usually is protected against short cuts.
But it can only drive up to 500mA.
Maybe that is not enough for the charger.
Anyway it should do no harm, since normal USB ports can't be burned by overload.
But, your own risk..

BTW: I use my Blackberry charger from the 7290 to power my external harddrive with a USB split cable plugged into my notebook and into the charger. No problems.

I would say it shouldn't be a problem if you don't try to charge both the headset and the blackberry at the same time.

Sony do an in ear BT headset (or they used to) like the corded type handsfree so it does not need to go over your ear!

I managed with all BT headsets wearing Oakley Sunglasses but that's me!

Default used the logitech Mobile Bluetooth Freedom for a week and

and then the logitech MOBILE PRO HDSET BLTOOTH-BT V1.2.

both work fine w the 7250; standby battery life excellent (i didnt talk enough to test talk time). prefer controls on the cheaper freedom but the mobile pro is much more comfortable w or w/o glasses. sound quality maybe a bit better w the pro.

I have an eyewear fetish.

My chunkiest glasses are from Matsuda, and they work with a Jabra BT110 and BT200 without fuss.

The Nokia HDW-2 and HDW-3 are not as tight, they hover more towards the outer ear.

The best fit will be the bluetooth headsets that have an earpiece connected to a device you can clip on your jacket/shirt or wear around your neck.

Check out the HBH-200.

I used to have a USB charger for my Motorola V60 that has the same type of plug as the HS850 does. I wonder if it would work to charge the HS850? I need to dig it up and give it a try!

Very true, and comfortable. I used mine this morning on the way to drop the kiddos off at school. Didn't weigh down my sunglasses either.
