Default Compatable bluetooth gps unit?

Please Login to Remove!

Ok. So I am sick of searching. I have been trying to find a small GPS receiver unit that I can connect to my VZW 8830 via bluetooth. I would, ideally, like to have it run with google maps. I have asked around at a few different places to verify compatability but have had no luck. Has anyone here done so already? If so, what is your setup and where did you get it? Any direction pointing would be helpful.

thank you!!

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I don't know if you have checked the GPS forum but they have reviews and comparisons there.

Cool locked

I think the VZW 8830 GPS is locked for some reason -- wonder if there's anyway to unlock it... I'll keep reading...

Yes, the Verizon 8830 GPS is locked and there is no way to unlock it. Been discussed here to death. Bluetooth GPS's do work with the Verizon 8830, however.

Yep...and BBmaps, and TeleNav. Was winding my way though downtown SanFrancisco using TeleNav last night with it hanging on my keyring. I don't even use my BT-359 anymore. The Freedom is too convenient.
