Default Two BlackBerry Express Servers, One Exchange Server?

Please Login to Remove!

Have a question for you all. We currently have two offices (Northern Cal and Southern Cal). Only one Exchange server and it's in Northern Cal. The BES Express is in Southern Cal and is capped at (15) users.

Is it possible to install another one in Northern Cal? Can you have two BES Express servers together?

I know, we should upgrade to the full BES but, hey, times are tough! haha Actually, the boss posed this question so I have to do the research now. Thanks!

You could get BPS and it is for 30 users if on SP4 or lower.
It is a free upgrade.

IIRC only one Express or BPS per domain.
Express NLA.

Thanks for the quick response. I didn't think I could have two of them running.

Thought about BPS but I spoke to BlackBerry and they said that BBM won't work on it. What's up with that?! haha If true, that won't work cause everyone uses that down here.

BPS has a few limits and you get what you pay for I guess.

BESExpress was nice since it worked like full blown BES but for 15 users.

I think RIM lost too much money on it and went to BPS so you could get a good taste but knot get it all the goodies of BES. With 30 users asking for BES, companies might have listened more to upgrade to BES, we did.

Yeah, I thought BES Express was a great deal for us when we got it. And, it would have lasted awhile but we were bought by another company and now everyone wants a BlackBerry.

I think it's time to upgrade and unlock that 15 user cap, personally.

Unless prices have changed since I looked last.

Remember the 2800.00 upgrade also includes 5 user CALs. So it really is a 2350 upgrade plus 5 CALs.
