I am getting more disappointed the more I play with it.
No cut and paste... Really?
I am and always and will be a bb fan boy and anti Apple but jeez this thing is not ready for prime time. If I drop another 100 I can get a tab that runs Win 7.

Going back staples!

I hate to continue to be so pessimistic because I love my BB. But I just don't see a point to owning a Playbook. I have a small laptop (like a lot of people) that I can take on a trip when I need to do hardcore typing or watch video. Yes, it sounds like it is fine for surfing the web however it doesn't sound better than an iPad. So it seems like this will appeal to a very small group of BB customers.

How do you get the cut and paste bars to show? I see them once in a while, but don't know how they got there.

I'm seriously considering the PB..I already have a Xoom (great device) and want a 7 inch tab for portability. Played with the PB yesterday at Office Depot for an hour...I like the UI and am somewhat disappointed by the lack of apps (hey, when I got the Xoom, there were only 47 true tablet apps)...but over time, expect to see more, especially if RIM works out Android SDK/developer issues.
Upset about the lack of Kindle...but also think that will be dealt with over time as well.
Charging is an advantage, if I can use my standard mini-USB charger (with tips for all my devices).
Email is not an issue: I use browsers for all three of my accounts...I only want email on my desktop...
I like the browser, more functional than the Xoom and I like the pre-install of the Office apps (cost me $30 from Andorid market)...interested in other's feedback.

I dunno about all these lukewarm PB reviews..."follow the bad press" mentality? I have had every iPhone and iPad known to man including my current IP4 factory unlocked, and iPad 1 (v2 is not a compelling upgrade), plus almost every BB (currently Torch and Pearl 3G). Got a Playbook last week and I am loving it. I love the form factor and build quality, plus I think the Bridge is a really funky idea that takes away the pain of both the Pearl and Torch keyboards without the worry of "what computer did I write that email on???". Once they get native apps for mail, BBM, notes etc, it'll be an improvement but I will still use Bridge most of the time. The fact is, for me anyway, the PB's unrestricted, un-iTuned useability makes it a winner. I won't be selling the Apple stuff because it has its own advantages, but many of those who say the PB "isn't ready for primetime" seem to have no idea what primetime is to begin with, IMO. Don't listen to other peoples' uninformed whining, make up your own mind FFS!

Some of the previously negative journalists are now writing more positively about the PlayBook since they've had it for a while. Google Movies play perfectly on the BlackBerry PlayBook too | ZDNet
