Default SuperPages or Windows Live

Please Login to Remove!

I recently dumped GoogleMaps for SuperPages Mobile. Which I am adoring, by the way. I have been reading about Windows Live Search, so I downloaded it. It seems really nice, just like SPM. I done a search but could not find what the major difference is between the two.

If you have used both, but prefer one over the other, please chime in and let me know why. I will do the same after playing with it for awhile. Hopefully today I will have to use it as a test.

I did notice that WLS have more categories than SPM.

Thanks

Thanks for the heads up on SPM. I have been looking for an application besides Handmark Pocket Express that gave a nice concise list of movies and locations. Lots of other nice stuff as well.

WLS is the easiest way I've found to get movies/times/locations quickly...took a quick look at superpages for movies and didn't see anything to make me consider switching...

look up POYNT that is also a great tool for movies/times/locations as well as a directory.

What I did not like about WLS when I evaluated it a little while back is that it would only display 5 or so movies, then I would have to select next to move thru the list, and it was more like a website in that it took a short time to get to the next screen. Superpages had them all listed very concisely, and hovering over them showed more detail. You can get the list by movie or theatre. I was using Handango Pocket Express. Most functions in that I have replaced with other software that is not subscription based. Until SYP, I did not have a good movie replacement. I am happy now!

Weird...I have never seen such behavior in WLS, I don't know what was happening to you, but WLS has always displayed a single scrolling list of all movies playing, no page turning/changing required, use trackball to scroll up or down through them all, and select movies to find theaters (and you can also change to Theater view to have a list of theaters and then look at movies by theater.

Something was wrong w/your WLS, or I'd almost think you were remembering a different app...

What about usage on the Storm - has anyone tried superpages on it? I have tried to install WLS 3 separate times on the storm (with OS .65, .75, and .85) and each time the app is installed successfully, but it will never open. Each time I end up deleting the app after I have rebooted and tried to open again.

what is the best Movies listing app for the storm?

Superpages mobile v2.0.7 has been released. Visually somewhat different but operates the same. OTA http://www.superpages.com/mobile

SP is great and just updated - however, on the bold there is a bug issue with wifi and the bold - wait for a fix soon - in any event - SP is great!
